TechWell partners met in Budapest on 26–27 May 2026 to align the next stages of the Digital Wellbeing Suite, school piloting, sustainability and project communication.

The TechWell consortium met in Budapest, Hungary, on 26–27 May 2026 for a two-day Transnational Partner Meeting focused on turning the project’s digital wellbeing approach into practical support for schools.

Representatives of the project partners reviewed progress across the Work Packages and concentrated on the Digital Wellbeing Suite, the preparation of cross-country school piloting, sustainability planning, communication activities and the continued development of the project website.

A practical pathway for schools

A central part of the meeting was the discussion of a phased school implementation model. The proposed pathway moves from awareness and stakeholder engagement through school commitment, self-assessment and implementation planning to practical action.

Partners agreed that the approach should be clear, adaptable and written in language that teachers and school leaders can use easily. The consortium also emphasised that TechWell should support schools as a partner in continuous improvement, rather than act as an assessor or inspector.

Preparing the next phase

The meeting also addressed school selection, baseline analysis, monitoring, feedback and the way the project will adapt the Digital Wellbeing Suite to different national and local contexts.

Partners discussed how participating schools can identify their strengths, priorities and development needs, and how school-level roadmaps can translate these findings into realistic actions, responsibilities and milestones.

Educational resources and website development

The consortium reviewed the role of the Educational Materials as the practical teaching and learning component of the Digital Wellbeing Suite. The materials are intended to support classroom use and the wider school community during the piloting phase.

Partners also agreed on a simplified website structure with clearer project information, stronger links between the Digital Wellbeing Suite and Educational Materials, and improved access to project results, partner information and European reference resources. Particular attention is being given to the continuous development of the website and to incorporating partner and user feedback into future updates.

Working together across Europe

The Budapest meeting provided a shared basis for the next implementation period. Partners from six countries will continue working together on school preparation, the refinement of the Digital Wellbeing Suite, monitoring, sustainability and dissemination.

The decisions and action points agreed in Budapest will guide the consortium as TechWell moves from development and preparation towards cross-country experimentation in schools.
