This May, the TechWell consortium is descending upon Budapest for a high-stakes international meeting, marking the final countdown to the project’s most exciting phase yet: real-world testing in schools.
Representatives from Bulgaria, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, and Italy will gather to bridge the gap between research and action. Hosted by the Hungarian partner, EDX Hungary Nonprofit Llc (the operational managing organization of the Hungarian Edtech Coalition), the meeting serves as the strategic launchpad for the pilot activities.
From Strategy to Classroom Action
The Budapest meeting will focus on ensuring that the tools and materials developed during the first phase of the project are ready for practical use in schools. Partners will:
- finalize the pilot roadmap for partner schools across Europe,
- review and refine the Digital Wellbeing Suite,
- align evaluation methods and indicators,
- and coordinate the implementation schedule for the 2026–2027 school year.
The meeting represents an important transition from research and development to practical application, bringing the project’s outputs closer to teachers, students and school communities.
Why Budapest Matters
Hosting this milestone meeting in Hungary highlights the country’s central role in the project’s dissemination and communication activities. It also reflects the strength of European cooperation in addressing one of the most important challenges facing education today: how to create healthier and more balanced relationships with digital technologies.
Following the Budapest meeting, the TechWell consortium will launch school-based pilots in partner countries, where the Digital Wellbeing Suite and educational materials will be tested and further refined based on real-world experience.
