The TechWell project officially launched with a dynamic Kick-Off Meeting on 24-25th of April 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria, where partners from Bulgaria, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Hungary and Czech Republic came together to align their vision and plan the first steps.
The meeting marked the beginning of a 24-month journey to develop and test a holistic strategy (suite) for digital wellbeing in schools. Discussions focused on:
- Shared vision – defining what digital wellbeing means in the context of today’s schools.
- Strategic planning – identifying immediate actions such as the dissemination plan, baseline research, and upcoming workshops.
- Collaboration – ensuring every partner contributes their unique expertise, from research and education to policy and technology.
Participants emphasized the urgency of the topic: children are growing up surrounded by digital devices, and schools play a vital role in guiding them toward safe and balanced use. The Kick-Off Meeting highlighted that TechWell is not just about research—it’s about practical, real-life impact for students, families, and educators.
The energy and commitment of the consortium set the tone for the project. With such a diverse and experienced team, TechWell is well-positioned to create meaningful outcomes and raise awareness at both national and European levels.
