A practical component of the Digital Wellbeing Suite

The Educational Materials are the teaching and learning component of the TechWell Digital Wellbeing Suite. They translate the wider whole-school approach into practical activities that educators can use and adapt in their own context.

From digital wellbeing concepts to classroom practice

Digital wellbeing concerns the ways digital technologies affect health, learning, relationships, rights and participation. In schools, this means helping students develop safe, balanced and responsible habits while also supporting teachers and leaders in creating a coherent digital learning environment.

The materials provide a structured learning pathway, teacher guidance and classroom-ready activities. They are designed to support practical use rather than formal assessment.

Teachers may select the level and learning unit that best match their own experience, student group and school context.

Materials at a glance

A clear structure for classroom use

The learning pathway combines short lessons, practical activities and teacher guidance across six reference levels.

6 levels A1 Newcomer to C2 Pioneer
10 lessons Structured learning units across the full pathway
30 activities Three practical activities connected to each lesson
Unit guidance Learning outcomes and recommended age information are shown within the materials
For teachers: Each unit identifies its topic, intended learning outcomes and relevant learner context. Recommended age information should be used as guidance and may be adapted to the needs, maturity and prior experience of the student group.

How the learning pathway is organised

The materials use the familiar A1–C2 labels from DigCompEdu as reference points for educator progression. They do not represent a separate TechWell qualification, certification or formal proficiency assessment. The levels help teachers navigate the materials and choose an appropriate starting point.

Select a level to open its learning units. Teachers may move between levels and choose the materials most relevant to their professional and classroom context.

Important: The level labels help organise the materials and support professional reflection. They should not be interpreted as a rigid hierarchy or as a formal assessment of teachers.
